Amanda Kindzierski / Chair (she/her) – An Ojibwe, Métis, Polish and Ukrainian filmmaker who identifies as Two-Spirited, Amanda Kindzierski has written, produced, directed and edited over 20 films that have played in local, regional or international film festivals. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kindzierski also teaches filmmaking to children and adults for schools and community organizations. She is a past Executive Director of the Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmaker Collective, where she developed and launched the multi-year Skodoodisden Project, which garnered the support of the Indigenous Screen Office and multiple other sector funders. She is also a past participant of the legendary Film Farm retreat in Mount Forest, Ontario. Kindizierski is a member of the Keeseekoose First Nation and a descendant of the Duck Bay Métis Community.

Allison Yearwood / Treasurer (she/her) – Allison Yearwood (she/her) served as Executive Director of Plug In ICA, Winnipeg’s most prestigious contemporary art gallery, from 2020-2024. Immediately prior to her work at Plug In ICA, Allison worked at the Banff Centre as Program Manager at the Indigenous Arts Department. Among the other roles that Allison has taken on throughout her career include serving as Art and Business Manager at Yamaji Art, an Aboriginal art centre in Australia; as General Manager of the Collective of Black Artists in Toronto; and as Program Coordinator of Urban Shaman Gallery in Winnipeg. Allison is additionally a member of the Black Curators’ Forum. Allison is an alumna of the University of Winnipeg, with a political science and business administration degree.

Lucy Pavez / Secretary (she/her) – Lucy Pavez is a multidisciplinary artist based in Winnipeg whose work is shaped by a rich transnational lineage. Born in Mexico City to Chilean parents and raised across Canada, she brings a deeply layered cultural perspective to every medium she touches. She studied Fine Arts at Langara College in Vancouver and Fashion Design at Murdoch MacKay in Winnipeg. Over time, her practice has grown to encompass painting, carving, sculpture, photography, installation and film. Pavez additionally works in the film industry as an assistant director and, more recently, as an artistic director. Pavez has recently served as artist-in-residence at Artbeat Studio, and has exhibited work in group shows at The Edge Gallery, Cre8ery Gallery and aceartinc. She is additionally a founder of MiradorX Art Collective, which works to expand the creative practices of female-identified, trans and non-binary Latinx artists who live on the Canadian Prairies. MiradorX is a new evolution of the nine-year Mujer Artista project, which Lucy also participated in.

Tani Miki (she/her) – Tani Miki is an arts administrator, curator and writer with a career spanning over two decades. Her art research focuses on memory, trauma, and spirituality. Miki has served as Executive Director of Freeze Frame Media Arts Centre since 2023. Immediately prior to that, she served as Director of aceartinc from 2018 to 2023, overseeing organizational transformation, including a facility move and a modernized programming framework. Other previous roles include serving as Project Manager for On Screen Manitoba and Program Officer for the Japan Foundation. Miki is a settler of Japanese descent. Her grandparents and parents were among the countless Japanese Canadians forcibly removed from their homes in British Columbia during WWII. After their possessions were confiscated, they were then placed on a sugar beet farm in southern Manitoba as forced labourers. Miki holds a BFA in art history from the University of Manitoba.

Solomon Nagler (he/him) – Solomon Nagler’s films have been screened across the globe and been featured in retrospective programs at Kino Arsenal in Berlin, the Cinémathèque Québécoise in Montreal and other cinematheques, and festivals in Melbourne, Wellington, Paris, Ottawa, Calgary and Winnipeg. His work also includes 16mm celluloid installations that engage with experimental architecture in galleries and public space. These installations have been exhibited at the Biennale Warszawa, Institut für Alles Mögliche in Berlin, Toronto International Film Festival and Artspace Gallery (Sydney, Australia). In 2017, he co-edited Sculpting Cinema with Melanie Wilmink, a survey of contemporary Canadian expanded cinema practices that was published by the Pleasure Dome in Toronto. In 2021, he co-edited Landscapes of Moving Image also with Wilmink, produced for WNDX. Nagler received his BA with an honours in Philosophy from the University of Winnipeg (1998) and his MFA in Film Production from Concordia University (2007). Originally from Winnipeg, he is currently a Professor of Film Production at NSCAD University in Halifax.
Nagler is co-founder of WNDX, alongside Cecilia Araneda. He returned to the board in 2025, after four years away from the organization.
