⇛ Soul Hatchling is an experimental short film made using archival 16mm footage using the internet archive. The film captures the brutal journey of the hatchling sea turtle, abandoned at birth and exposed to endless danger before their life can even begin. The Indigenous filmmaker uses the hatchling turtle to symbolise Indigenous children born and raised under difficult and vulnerable circumstances in Canada, in which she experienced herself alongside her siblings.
